ABVP welcomes Govt decision against Black Money

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) welcomes the bold step of the Modi Government of de-legalizing the current currency notes of denominations Rs. 500 and 1000. It is a historic step in the fight against black money, and will prove to be a decisive long-term measure against corruption in the country.

ABVP’s forum ‘Youth Against Corruption’ (YAC) led a series of protests, delegations and public awareness programmes on the need for several reforms to counter corruption and seize black money. A major demand of YAC was to do away with higher denomination currency notes of Rs. 500 and 1000 and introduction of new notes of these denominations in a time bound manner.

ABVP’s National General Secretary Shri Vinay Bidre said ABVP appeals to all the citizens of the country especially the youth to support this important step of the government in the fight against corruption. Every concerned citizen will feel proud to be part of this historic fight against corruption and black money.
